January 28th

Hello and welcome back everyone!

It's been a long time since we had class last so I trust that you are all well rested and ready for a fresh start today as we begin a new module. The module that you will be starting today will be Adobe Illustrator!

1. Please finish your project from last class: put all of your edits (with descriptions of edits and photo information) on your blog, and I will come around and collect your original photos. Please make sure that you put all of your original photos on a folder on your desktop titled "Your Name Originals".

2. Once you are done,  we will watch the following videos as a group. (Please don't watch them by yourself to avoid the loud disruption).

What is Illustrator?

What are Vectors?

3. After the video please, answer the following on your blog in your own words:

  • 1. What is the difference between pixel graphics and vector graphics?
  • 2. What are the advantages of vector graphics?
  • 3. What types of industries do you think would your use illustrator? Do you think any industries would use illustrator more than photoshop?

4. After this video, I will give you a brief demonstration using the pen and pencil tool on illustrator. If you are finished your stop-motion video, you will practice drawing basic shapes in illustrator.
