February 28th

Hello and Happy Friday!

Yesterday you took all of your photos for your Vine (7 second video clip). Today you will import them into iMovie and do the adjustments requirement to turn your photos into an animation. Once you are happy with your clip, I'd like you to go to Share>Export movie and put it on to your desktop. From there, you will reopen the exported clip in iMovie as a condensed file. Then you will drag it down and create a loop for however many loops you would like the video to play (at least 3 times). Everyother clip will need to be "reversed". I will show you how to do this in class. For your vine, you may choose to edit your photos in iphoto first for a fun effect. Try making a B & W vine, an antique looking vine, high contrast, etc. The link below will show you how to edit one photo in iPhoto and apply it to all of your photos (a VERY useful thing to know how to do-i.e. if you took all of your photos in same lighting and they're underexposed).

iPhoto Editing

If you finish the above, try editing your photos again in a new way. This time, you can try adding audio and a title and credit slide, etc. This is your opportunity to have fun and explore the program.

Please upload the 2 versions of your video to youtube-I will give you a demonstration of this in class (the vine being the most important). Note that for the first video I'm not overly concerned that your video is second seconds, relooped. If it is slightly over this, that is okay. Please copy and paste the URL from both videos into an e-mail to me and send it to my school gmail account.
